9/11 ANNIVERSARY OBSERVANCE
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, along with the Miami-Dade Police Department marked the first anniversary of the attack on America with a solemn ceremony at Fire Rescue Headquarters. The 30-minute observance included a procession of firefighters and police officers, who laid flowers at the base of the Firefighter’s Memorial to commemorate the supreme sacrifice made by their comrades at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001. The poem that follows was written by Amanda Tam, daughter of "B" Shift's Onelio Tam.
